World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous damage for every time it's upgraded.

item upgrader upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to blue level before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade item non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players make stronger versions of the equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

The player is able to have a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much they'll improve after a future reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a significant possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break if it fails; a failure to upgrade can destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded Best Item Upgrader. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also offer a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes within their radius and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the Best item upgrade way to upgrade your equipment. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the various Glyphs and there are also a few rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that boosts a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

The use of the Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each item level requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When a player upgrade a piece of equipment, the base item will be replaced by an item that is new. The same armor will receive a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This can be a disadvantage, as it can make the item more expensive if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonus bonuses. This is a good idea however it shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or does not swim as a dolphin). This item can be upgraded several times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is very valuable in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of its non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their available equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also improve the strength of their base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal and also increase their strength and dexterity.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can result in the item reverting to its original state and the player having to purchase more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item upgrader kit. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements than normal equipment. For example they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade will require an individual amount of ingredients for upgrading.
